Volcano Agung

Gunung Agung, Mount Agung, is one of many strata volcanoes in Indonesia and part of the circumpacific fire belt. It is the holiest mountain of the Hindus in Bali, seat of the gods and center of the world. In the 19th century it erupted three times. In 1963 a serious outbreak occurred, in which more than a thousand casualties were to be lamented. Since then it was silent. Until September 2017.
